WHICH COUNTRIES HAVE OPEN BORDERS AFTER COVID – 19

Many Indians can’t wait to finally start studying abroad and, although this is a great time for planning, many countries have already relaxed the rules of their borders to allow the entry of students from India.

Each has its prerequisites, but most require proof of vaccination. Check out the list of countries open to Indian students below:

South Africa:

Fate was one of the few that, since the beginning of the pandemic, had few or no restrictions on Indian students. To enter the country, it is necessary to present a negative PCR test for Covid-19, performed within 72 hours before disembarking.

It is mandatory to download the Alert South Africa app and complete the travel health questionnaire. If you do not submit the form or the Covid-19 test, a 14-day quarantine will be required.

Europe:

Germany:

Indians fully vaccinated with immunizing agents recognized by the European Union are released from quarantine and only need to present a negative Covid-19 test when disembarking.

In the absence of proof of vaccination, it is possible to present proof of recovery, which must be available in German, English, French, Italian or Spanish, in digital or paper format. The contamination cannot have occurred more than six months ago.

Spain:

Since August, passengers coming from India and with the complete vaccination protocol can disembark in Spain. All vaccines applied in India are accepted and quarantine is not required when disembarking.

It is mandatory to complete the Spain Travel Health, health form of the Spanish government, and present proof of vaccination when disembarking

France:

Indians fully vaccinated with immunizing agents approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA). They can travel to France without the need for quarantine.

Unvaccinated passengers must present to the authorities a document that proves the reason for the trip.  A negative PCR test for Covid-19, carried out 48 hours before boarding. Unvaccinated Indian travelers must undergo a mandatory 10-day quarantine.

Netherlands:

To enter the country, Indians must present a negative PCR test for Covid-19, done up to 72 hours before boarding. It is also necessary to fill out a health declaration form and it is mandatory to perform a 10-day quarantine in the country, with the possibility of being released on the fifth day, in case of a new negative test.

Ireland:

Indian students enrolled in higher education courses were already allowed to enter Ireland. Starting in November, language course students fully vaccinated with immunization agents recognized by the European Medicines Agency (EMA). They will be able to enter the country presenting proof of vaccination and a negative PCR test, without the need for quarantine.

If the student is not fully vaccinated or has been vaccinated with Coronavac.  He must undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine upon arrival in the country.

Italy:

Students can enter the country as long as they are enrolled in a higher education course or recognized by local educational bodies. You must present a negative PCR test for Covid-19 performed 72 hours prior to boarding. Complete the DPLF form prior to boarding and self-declaration to present at immigration.

In Italy, the 10-day quarantine is still mandatory for Indian students.  Who can be released at the end of the tenth day if the PCR test is negative.

Switzerland:

Fully vaccinated Indians can enter Switzerland provided they present proof of vaccination and negative PCR test for Covid-19. Vaccines will be valid for 12 months.

United Kingdom:

As of October 11, Indians vaccinated with Oxford/AstraZeneca, Pfizer BioNTech, Jansen and Moderna vaccines for at least 14 days from the date of the second dose. It will be able to enter the UK.

North America:

Canada:

U.S:

From November 8th, Indians with complete vaccination will be able to enter the US, just present proof of vaccination and a negative RT-PCR test at the entrance. All vaccines applied in India are accepted in the United States.

South America:

Argentina:

Since the beginning of October, Indians with the complete vaccination cycle can enter Argentina. As long as they present the immunization certificate and negative PCR test for Covid-19 made up to 72 hours before boarding. Another PCR test is required 5-7 days after arrival in the country. All vaccines applied in India are accepted in Argentina.

Chile:

Chile reopened to fully vaccinated Indians in October. To enter the country, it is necessary to present a negative test for Covid-19 and travel insurance with coverage starting at USD 30,000.

Indians must also have a 7-day quarantine in a location that can be chosen by the visitor.

United Arab Emirates:

The United Arab Emirates became one of the main exchange destinations for Indian students during the pandemic. This is because the country maintained few restrictions on passengers coming from India.
