1. Patek Philippe Ref. 5204R-011 ( Perpetual Calendar)
When thinking about complications, the first name that comes to mind is Perpetual Calendar. So, it’s easy to understand why Patek Philippe’s Perpetual Calendar is the most successful one (Grand Complications!).
Do you remember PP’s rose-gold version that first came out in 2016 with black or silver dials? The new 5204 version replaces it with a slate grey. The Ref.5204R-011 is a truly unexpected version which the collectors didn’t see coming. It’s an impressive variant where the chronograph pairs with a Perpetual Calendar and Split-seconds Chronograph. Putting these two together is indeed a remarkable feat, and the timepiece is assembled finely with Calibre CHR 29-535 PS Q.
Back in history, Patek Philippe has combined a perpetual calendar with chronograph, but the new one includes a far more complex mechanism with 2 chronograph seconds hands for recording split times. The Calibre balances all the functions, including:

3. Patek Philipe Ref. 5905/1A-001 (Annual Calendar)

We aren’t complaining because the new Ref. 5905/1A-001 looks stunning in a mossy green dial. Patek is undoubtedly moving forward with time as it sports a high complication model hooded under a sturdy exterior.
The Annual Calendar came out in high-end platinum in 2015, rose-gold in 2019, and finally stainless steel in 2021. Perhaps for the first time! The dial features a casual yet elegant sunburst olive dial with sword-style hands and a precisely labelled 60-minute sub-dial, all of which add to the brand’s lineage.
