HOW TO USE THE VACUUM CLEANER IN THE CORRECT WAY?

The vacuum cleaner is one of the most useful household appliances nowadays. It is capable of saving us time in house cleaning, but above all, of removing dirt and dust residues flawlessly from any surface. Such as: floors, carpets, rugs, parquet, etc.

Modern vacuum cleaners are much lighter and more compact than older models. They are easy to handle, practical in use and are equipped with electronic sensors that signal suction problems. Or they indicate when the dust container is full and needs to be emptied.

Furthermore, on the market, there are models of vacuum cleaners without bag or removable bag, and also models with which it is possible to vacuum liquids. The vacuum cleaner to be really an efficient household appliance, but when it is put into operation, it needs to be used following the rules, which allow us not only to have a complete cleaning of the surface of the house. It also to avoid annoying problems related to our health.

Here are some suggestions:

Check the vacuum cleaner compartment used to store dirt. In some models, there is a bag in this compartment. If the bag is full, it must be changed and replaced with a new one. On the market, you can buy the spare parts of the bags based on the model of your vacuum cleaner. In the bag less models, however, there is a removable and reusable container. It must be emptied as often as possible. If the dust deposit area is full, the vacuum cleaner will not be able to collect dirt effectively.

Adjust the suction force of the vacuum cleaner. Most vacuum cleaners are equipped with a power indicator that signals the suction of the appliance. When vacuuming the dust from a carpet, it must be adjusted according to its size. If the vacuum cleaner has this indicator, make sure it is set to the appropriate power for your carpet. In the newer models, the indicator is signaled electronically with a digital display, while in the older models, by a manual cursor placed on the vacuum cleaner handle tube.

If the vacuum cleaner is set with a too high suction force, it will not suck enough, causing the so-called: “sucking effect” of the carpet. If the power, on the other hand, is set too low, it will not have sufficient air flow to suck up the dust. Finally, remember to pass the vacuum cleaner with a “back and forth” movement over the carpet. This movement must be done slowly. If the vacuum cleaner is moved too quickly on the surface to be vacuumed, it will not be able to completely collect the dirt.

Move all small objects adjacent to the vacuum cleaner. Even if you do not plan to move the furniture (such as poufs and coffee tables) when vacuuming, you can easily remove smaller objects, to avoid the risk of breaking or ending up “sucked” into the vacuum cleaner.

Avoid back pain by checking the height of the vacuum cleaner hose. The vacuum cleaners are equipped with a telescopic tube. If you want to avoid being hit by back pain, when you mount the hose on the vacuum cleaner, calculate that the length of the hose is such that our back assumes an almost natural posture and is not tilted too much forward. Furthermore, on the market, there are models of vacuum cleaners designed to avoid incorrect postures.

Avoid contracting annoying allergies by regularly replacing the HEPA filter of the vacuum cleaner. The new vacuum cleaners are equipped with a removable filter, with the aim of capturing the fine dust present in the air, responsible for the most common allergies to dust. Once the filter becomes black, it must be replaced with a new one.

Vacuum cleaner options are important:

Most vacuum cleaners have a series of attachments for extra work. Cleaning small surfaces, such as hidden corners and edges under furniture, allows the normal flow of air present in your home, not to push unwanted dirt, towards areas already cleaned previously. To use the interchangeable accessories of the vacuum cleaner, simply replace the end of the tube.
